First of all, Willamette rhymes with Bill, damn it!
Second of all, Oregon rhymes with gory gun.

We are fortunate to live in the heart of the Willamette Valley, one of the most fertile valleys in the world. It is located in the western half of the state of Oregon on the west coast of the United States. It is bounded on the north by the city of Portland and on the south by the city of Eugene. The Cascade Mountains form the eastern boundary and the Coast Range flanks the western edge of the valley. It is roughly bisected by the Willamette River.

The Willamette Valley is a wonderful place, but like lots of farmland everywhere, large parts of it are seriously threatened by urban sprawl. Do your part to help preserve valuable farmland. Support urban growth boundaries and thoughtful land-use planning. If you want to live in the country (or do so already), husband your land intelligently and wisely. Don't buy more land than you need or can take care of. Don't support development that takes more farmland out of production. Most importantly, support small farmers who take care of their land. Thanks.
